Oldies But Goodies

A completely random mix of cards from the past few years (please forgive the awful scanning jobs...ugh)

This card was featured in Paper Crafts a few years ago. That's why it has such a purty photo.

Easter Garland

Isn't this Easter garland using paint chips adorable? I saw it on Modern Parents Messy Kids and thought it was  such a cute idea. Click here for instructions. I'm sure Home Depot is going to LOVE us for cleaning out their paint chip supply!

More Kitschy Kitchen..

I had red felt. I had black buttons. I made strawberries...oh, and a cherry. These little plush cuties took all of thirty minutes to make.  I topped them with Kitschy Kitchen Retro Collection cardstock stickers, buttons and twine.

5th Avenue...*swoon*..

I'm so excited to share with you the newest collection from Melissa Frances called 5th Avenue. It's where Vintage-Shabby meets Victorian and it's absolutely gorgeous!!  You can check out the entire collection here.
Here are a few projects I  made using the 5th Avenue collection.

Vintage Spoon Ornaments

These ornaments were inspired by Natalie Hansen who made the CUTEST Halloween spoon ornaments in the 2008 issue of Somerset Holidays and Celebrations. I thought I'd put a Christmas spin on her Halloween ornaments. I used mica, glitter chipboard angel wings, resin wings and tinsel from Melissa Frances. Not only do they make pretty ornaments for your tree, you could also tie one on top of a package to dress it up or make several and give them as gifts.

Christmas Gift Boxes

Here's an idea if you'd like to dress up an ordinary gift box for gift giving this season.
These little boxes were made using paper mache houses and boxes bought at Michaels. I painted the houses and applied a mixture of  Snow Tex, paint and glitter to the roofs. Paper from Melissa Frances covers the boxes. I then sprinkled pink and white mica on top of the boxes and embellished them with glitter snowflakes, buttons and glitter heart chipboard. Silver pipe cleaners were coiled up and placed on the chimney as well as tinsel. I made a crepe paper rosette and printed out "Joyeux Noel" on cardstock to adhere on top of the rosette.
