End of School Ice Cream Bash

School is almost out for the summer and what better way to celebrate than with an ice cream bash! Woohoo for summer!
Thank heavens for Oriental Trading Company for making it so easy to find everything I need for a party in one place. Take a look at all the fun ice cream party supplies they offer!

Ice cream and cookies go hand in hand, wouldn't you agree? These adorable cookies made by Baby Gabey Cookies were devoured in seconds by the kids and obsessed over by the moms. Who could possibly eat something with such a sweet little face?! I loved these sprinkles napkins we used for the party, so bright and colorful!

Feast your eyes on all the cuteness....

These adorable ice cream cone containers were the perfect way to invite everyone to the party. The containers open up and the invitation with a few treats were inside. The kids were so excited to have an invite that they could also play with!

Each guest received an Ice Cream Cone Shooter as a favor. The kids (okay, us moms too) had way too much fun popping these fun foam shooters at each other during the party....we might have enjoyed these more than the actual ice cream! I used these darling sprinkles cellophane bags to wrap them in and attached a tag that said "Thank you for popping by!"

Let's not forget the toppings! I painted Pint Ball Mason Jars in Neapolitan ice cream colors and filled them with sprinkles and cookies because there wasn't nearly enough sugar at this party.

How sweet are these Ice Cream Dishes? Love those matching spoons! Each guest picked out their favorite color of dish and piled in a scoop (or two) of ice cream. Yum!

The ice cream party was such a great way to celebrate the end of the school year and welcome the sunny, carefree days of summer.

Teacher Appreciation Gift Idea

I can't tell you enough how much I love and appreciate teachers for all  they do. I volunteer at my daughter's preschool and I see firsthand how much time and energy they put into their classroom to make it so incredible for the kids. With Teacher Appreciation Day coming up, here's a fun gift to show your teachers how much you appreciate their efforts.

When I saw these adorable RED FAVOR APPLE CONTAINERS from Oriental Trading Company, I knew they'd be perfect for a teacher's gift. I attached a darling "A is for Awesome" printable from Skip to My Lou with green bakers twine and tied it around the stem of the apple. So simple and easy, right?!

I  then filled the containers with a gift card, lip balm, hand sanitizer and a couple little treats. The apples are pretty large so they can hold quite a few little goodies.

My daughter is so excited to give these sweet apples to her teachers, I don't know if she can wait until May to hand them out!

Ice Cream Party Invitations and Centerpiece

It's so much fun to guest post for The Wood Connection because there is ALWAYS something adorable to make.
We have an ice cream party coming up at our place and I wanted to do something fun and unique for the invitations.  Who says party invitations have to be made out of paper?  Today I'll show you a super cute and simple way to make these little ice cream invites as well as a fun centerpiece for the party.

Let's get started!

Supplies used:
pattern paper
foam brushes
Acrylic paint by Delta in Trail Tan, Hydrangea Pink and Light Ivory.
All supplies can be found at The Wood Connection

Directions:
Using a ruler, mark off three sections with pencil on the creamsicle.

Paint the bottom half pink and allow to dry.

Paint the middle section light ivory and allow to dry as well.

Paint the top tan and allow to dry. I didn't paint the stick on the creamsicle because I liked how it actually looked like a popsicle stick.

 And there you have it!
A cute and unique way to invite friends to your ice cream party.  For the printable, I used Canva to design it. I simply picked out a design I liked and added my own text. It's REALLY easy, believe me!

Darling tissue confetti from - Eve's Party Market

Directions for the box sign centerpiece:

Paint the entire box sign light ivory and after it dries, sand just a little around the edges to give it a bit of a shabby look.

Next, cut out your pattern paper to fit inside the box sign and attach it inside using wood glue.

Place one of the painted creamsicles inside the box sign using wood glue.

And you're finished!
Pretty sweet and simple, but lots of fun!

I don't know about you, but this little invite is making me hungry for the real thing! Hope it does the same for my guests too! ;-)

Thank you so much to The Wood Connection for having me, it's a pleasure as always!

Teacher Appreciation Day Gift Idea

Teacher Appreciation Day is coming up (May 3rd, to be exact) and what better way to let your child's teacher know how much you appreciate them than with donuts. Because...who doesn't LOVE donuts?!
Oriental Trading Company has these darling donut party treat boxes that are perfect to house mini donuts or yummy donut holes.

I am SO not a graphic designer so I used Canva to create my printable. It was so quick and easy, you just choose a design and type in your own words. The printable I made says, "We donut know what we'd do without you". Soooo punny! ;-)

These little donut boxes are adorable, sturdy enough to hold several little donuts and perfect for gift giving. You could also add a gift card to Starbucks to go along with the donuts. YUM!

I love how the boxes resemble a mini donut shop. So sweet!

The gift is easy and inexpensive and is a great way to show your child's teacher how much you appreciate them for all the hard work they do.
