Mother's Day at a Vintage Paris Flea Market

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Cost Plus World Market. All opinions are my own

If you're looking for beautiful and unique Mother's Day gifts, look no further than Cost Plus World Market. From beautiful jewelry to delicious food for a Mother's Day brunch, World Market has got you covered.

I'd love to share a little bit about an amazing woman in my life, my mother.
My Mom is an incredibly strong, generous and beautiful woman. I am in constant awe of her strength and grace as she has had to face incredible hardships throughout her life. She is so loving and compassionate towards others and I've never heard her say a unkind thing about anyone. She has lifted up, inspired and helped so many people around her.
I have countless magical childhood memories with my Mom and I can only hope to be the kind of mother she is. It is said we walk among angels, she makes that a fact.
Her dream has always been to stroll leisurely through an open air flea market in Paris,France on a Sunday afternoon. Sampling the local delicacies with the scent of lavender wafting through the air, scouring for antique treasures and watching people passing by.
Since I can't whisk her away to Paris, I can bring a little bit of a Paris flea market to her. Vintage inspired linens, french macaroons and a few eclectic items ( you just never know what will catch your eye at a flea market!) will be placed inside a beautiful aqua metal box and filled with all the splendors of Paris.

I found so many treasures at Cost Plus World Market that inspired this Mother's Day basket, like French lavender hand cream, vintage style plant misters and a little birdie teapot to name a few. Check out the collage below to see how to put together your own Vintage Paris Flea Market Mother's Day Gift Basket.

Star Wars Party

This review is based strictly on my opinion. I was provided the sample free of charge by Oriental Trading  to provide my honest review. No other type of compensation was received. All ideas and opinions are my own.

What do you do when your daughter loves all things pink and sparkly and is obsessed with Star Wars? Throw her a pink and sparkly Star Wars party, of course! If you're a Star Wars family, you know that May the 4th is coming up and I've got you covered with a few fun ideas to throw your own Star Wars Day party.

May the 4th be with you!

Here's what you'll need:

My talented friend Melissa of Paint It Paisley hand painted this adorable Stormtrooper t-shirt. I'm pretty sure Stormtroopers love a good party, especially while wearing a pink party hat!

One of my favorite products from Oriental Trading are these versatile short jars. I think I have used them for every party I've ever had.  For directions on how to make these fun favor jars, click HERE..

DIY telescopes were the perfect activity for the kids. They had a blast decorating their telescopes with paint, stickers and gems. The little guests were excited to use their new telescopes to search for galaxies far, far away.

Baby Gabey Cookies once again knocked it out of the galaxy with these incredible Stormtrooper, Darth Vader and star cookies. The details are pure perfection!

The backdrop was created using DIY Alphabet Banners and painting the letters black and of course, the stars pink. I found this darling vinyl AT-AT decal on Etsy that couldn't have been more perfect for my Star Wars loving girl!

I put together these fun goodie bags for the little Jedis. They were quick and easy and you can find the tutorial on how to make them HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by and may the force be with you!

Star Wars Favor Jars

These fun Star Wars party favors are quick and simple to make. You only need a few supplies so let's get started!

Here's what you'll need:

Black paint

E6000 glue

Paint the top of the lid black and allow to dry.

Using E6000 glue, attach the Star Wars egg to the top of the lid.

I kept a few of the lids white to contrast with the black Darth Vader tops. Aren't they fun? I love how they turned out!

Fill the jars with treats, stickers or any other fun little favors and you're all set.

Quick and simple favor jars that your little Star Wars loving party guests are sure to love!

Star Wars Goodie Bags

What's a party without goodie bags? These treat bags are a fun addition to your Star Wars themed party and are a cinch to make.

Here's what you'll need:

Place small silver star on top of pink parchment bag, layer pink star tickets and staple all together.

Attach Star Wars sticker to the bottom corner of the bag and your goodie bag is all finished!

Fill with yummy treats and favors. Your Star Wars loving kids will adore it!

Dylbug Easter Brunch

We recently had the wonderful opportunity to team up with Leslie Mingo, founder of Dylbug. Her line of adorable personalized plates, placemats, cutters and bowls will get your kids excited to eat all those yummy fruits and veggies.
Easter is right around the corner and these sweet limited edition bunny plates could not be more perfect for your children's baskets.
Our Easter brunch for littles was so much fun. I loved seeing each child's creativity flow and I really enjoyed watching them eat so many veggies.
Snap peas were used for flower stems, spinach leaves for dresses and shredded broccoli for grass. They gobbled it all up and asked for more!

I'm all for making mealtime fun and with these adorable dress up plates, your child's imagination and creativity will be ignited. Aren't those strawberry butterflies fun? And how dapper does Mr. Bunny look in his blueberry bowtie?!

Leslie found these cute trays at Michaels. They're paint trays but they work perfectly for keeping all your food organized. Genius!

One of my favorite products that Dylbug offers are these dry erase placemats. The kids loved coloring and drawing on their little bunnies with markers. There is also a place where kids can practice their ABCs and 123s! Here is the front of the placemat, how sweet is that little bunny's face?

These sweet cutters are way too fun. They come in a heart dress pattern and star pants. Kids have a blast cutting out cute clothes to dress their bunnies. Who wouldn't want to eat a PB&J shaped like a dress?

My daughter loved creating raspberries bows, strawberry and almond flowers and blueberry buttons on her bunny. I don't think we've ever had so much fun at mealtime!

Be sure to check out all the fun products Dylbug offers to make mealtime awesome! You and your kids will have a wonderful time creating and dining together.
