Every year during the month of October, our family gears up for our annual vacation to Disneyland to enjoy all the Halloween festivities the park has to offer. From the spooky-cute attractions and parades to the deliciously spootacular treats, we think it's the best time of year to be in Disneyland.
To ramp up the excitement before our trip, I thought it would be fun to throw a Mickey Mouse themed party before we headed to The Most Magical Place on Earth!
My daughter invited a few of her buddies over for a fun-filled afternoon with lots of yummy treats and activities.
This adorable candy corn inspired Mickey pumpkin was so quick and easy to create. Using aceramic pumpkin, I painted stripes in orange, yellow and white...just like a candy corn! Then I used my Cricut Machine to cut out buttons and Mickey ears. I glued them to the pumpkin and that was it! So cute, right?
Make a festive Minnie and Micky banner using a Cricut Machine(or you could alway trace and hand cut Mickey and Minnie) and string them to baker's twine.
The kids loved this part of the party! I cut out Mickey ears using yellow vinyl and attached them to small plastic jars. I then filled the jars with white, yellow and orange playdough and tiny pumpkin cookie cutters.
The kids loved cutting mini pumpkins out of the playdough and had a ball making their very own little pumpkin patch.
Of course you can't have a party without some yummy treats! Leigh from Baby Gabey Cookies created these adorable Mickey and Minnie sugar cookies and threw in a couple spooky-sweet ghosts and jack-o-lanterns too!
The kids left the party with sweet orange gingham Mickey and Minnie goodie bags filled with Halloween treats and toys.
I hope you enjoyed this Mickey Mouse inspired Halloween party!
Have a Happy Halloween!

Every year our neighborhood hosts a trunk or treat party and we love seeing all the fun themes and creativity that goes into decorating trunks for the big day. The kids love running from trunk to trunk gathering up all those yummy goodies and the adults love hanging out and visiting each other.

This Wonka inspired Trunk or Treat was so much fun to put together. Check out the rest of the post below to see how to recreate it yourself!
Using my Cricut Explore Air 2, I cut out several golden tickets and paper candies to attach to the garland. I also used my Cricut to cut out the letters to spell Wonka and attached them to the backdrop using glue dots. It all held together great throughout the evening!
Here's our very own little Veruca Salt demanding "I WANT IT NOW" with a golden ticket and swirly lollipop in hand. To create this look, I found the red dress on Amazon and sewed black buttons down the front of the dress. I attached a peter pan style collar around the neck that I cut out of white fabric and then a black ribbontied around the waist finished the costume off.
Let's all sing along!
DADDY! I WANT IT NOOOOOW!
Kids loved picking out these funky Shutter Glassesin a variety of colors. I set a few glasses out and placed some inside a jar with a sign that said Wonka Vision Glasses. It was so fun to see all the kids walking around with their Wonka glasses on!
Candy filled Golden Eggswere a huge hit with the kids and they were all relieved they were "good eggs" when they came by to pick out their treats.
Large Cherry Flavored Swirl Lollipopsturned into Twirly Whirly Wonka Pops and the little trunk or treaters were so excited over these giant rainbow lollipops!
Ok, so this is definitely NOT lickable wallpaper (so be sure to remind the kids!) but I wanted to incorporate the fruity wallpaper into the trunk or treat somehow. So, I came up with the idea of attaching Fruit Slice Puttyto white foam board. I think the kids preferred this idea over lickable wallpaper because they were able to choose a fun fruit slice putty to play with and take home!
Instead of fizzy lifting drinks, I thought fizzy lifting bubbles would be just as fun and what kid doesn't love blowing bubbles? Bubbles filled the air at our trunk or treat festivities and were a huge hit with the little ones!
I hope you enjoyed this Willy Wonka inspired Trunk or Treat idea! I'm sure Mr. Wonka himself would feel right at home surround by all these colorful treats and goodies!

You can download the free printable invite at the bottom of this post. Simply cut bat wings out of paper, attach them to the invite using glue and you're all set!
I set up a little area for the girls to "shop" for their spa supplies. The girls loved picking out their favorite colors of nail polish, lip balms and glosses. It's so fun to how excited they got over all the colors and sparkles!
Each guest received a friendly little bat favor bag that I cut out using my Cricut machine.
After all that "shopping", it was time to take a break with some yummy bat juice ( grape juice) and sink our fangs into some delicious pink cupcakes.
One of the girls' favorite things to do at the party was applying these funVampirina Press-On Nails. They also loved painting their toenails with the 3 Pack Nail Polish Setand placing the fun Vampirina stickers that come in the set on their toenails.
These coffin shaped nail polishesare so perfect for a Halloween party and they were also the perfect size to fit inside these spook-tacular bat favors I made out of felt using my Cricut Maker.
I also placed a few hair clips and lip glossesinside the bat favors and the girls absolutely loved them!

Every little girl I know absolutely LOVES Frozen! You can imagine my daughter and her little friends excitement when we threw a Frozen Spa Party with TownleyGirl!
We invited a few little princesses over for an afternoon of sweet treats and pampering. Check out the fantastically Frozen spa day below!
Each little princess was given a pail filled with Frozen glitter and confetti nail polish as well as Frozen lip gloss. I used mini pailsand attached glittery snowflake stickers to the front of the pails. They were the perfect size to hold all the darling favors.
Even though this was a sweet and simple play date, the girls had to have party hats! I made these enchanting hats with my Cricut Explore Air 2 machine and added a sparkly gem to each hat.
The girls took a quick break from painting their fingernails to have a nibble of cake. I made a classic round vanilla cake and placed paper snowflakes on top. Nothing like a quick and easy party treat!
The girls had a blast braiding hair and donning sparkly bows and tiaras from the Glam Me Up Set. How cute is that crown topped lip gloss?! The girls loved seeing all of their favorite Frozen characters on their lip balms and polishes.
The girls were OBSESSED with this Frozen glitter and confetti nail polishand had a ball painting their fingers and toes all different colors. The confetti nail polish was a particularly a huge hit with the girls because they loved the idea of wearing confetti on their nails.
Frozen Dress- Up Mania Kit had everything to keep the party rolling! From Frozen press on nails to shimmery gems, the girls felt exactly like Elsa in her grand ice castle!
Pedicures are a must for a spa party and the girls had so much fun painting each other's toenails. Some of us moms even got in on the action! We just couldn't pass up a free pedicure, especially one that involved lots of shimmer and glitter.
