Cricut Maker Machine Product Review

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine. This post contains affiliate links.

I am a HUGE fan of Cricut and this past August I had an incredible opportunity to be a part of something pretty amazing. The Cricut Mountain Make-A-Thon was held at the Grand American in Salt Lake City, UT and the conference was filled with some of the most talented and creative people I have ever met.

The most exciting part of the conference was the unveiling of the new Cricut Maker! This is a game changer, people! The Maker can cut through a variety of materials from the thinnest tissue paper to thick burlap and balsa wood. Just think of all the possibilities you can make with this new machine. From jewelry to quilts, there is something for everyone and the Maker makes it SO easy to create in a fraction of the time! The Maker cuts through over 100 materials so you're bound to create something fun.

Here are a few exciting features the new Cricut Maker boasts:

The Maker is 10x stronger than the Cricut Explore and uses an adaptive tool that automatically controls the blade pressure and direction.

If you need a project done fast, the Maker has a Fast Mode which enables you to cut 2x faster without losing precision. Your cuts will come out perfectly every time, even the most intricate of designs!

Cricut Maker Review

The machine hooks up to your computer, tablet or phone. There is a docking station on the machine that holds your tablet or phone with ease. The Maker comes with Bluetooth technology so you don't have to mess with cords...a feature that I love!

The Maker cuts fabric without backing material. The new rotary blade makes this all possible with its precision cutting. You will never have to worry about tearing or snagging because the rotary blade ensures perfect accuracy every time.

I whipped up this cute no-sew banner using the Cricut Maker in under 10 minutes.  You will find yourself wanting to cut EVERYTHING and having a ball doing so. I created an entire Halloween party cutting everything from party hats and goodie bags to party decor and banners in under an hour!

One of the features I love is that with the Cricut Maker, you can download patterns from  Cricut Design Space and not have to cut out fabric and pin them to the pattern. This machine does it all for you! You can even upload your own patterns as well.  Talk about a huge time saver, right? I think I just may pick up quilting!

If you've been on the fence about getting a new cutting machine, I have to say that the Cricut Maker is a life changer. You will want to create non-stop!

Pastel Pumpkin Party

This review is based strictly on my opinion. I was provided the sample free of charge by Oriental Trading and Cricut to provide my honest review. No other type of compensation was received. All ideas and opinions are my own.

We are giving away a Cricut Maker and a $75 gift card to Oriental Trading!!

Today I'd love to share an unconventional Halloween party...pastel pumpkins!  When you think of All Hallow's Eve, you probably don't think of soft pastels.  Why not mix things up a bit and throw a pastel pumpkin party for the kids! This is especially fun for a not-so-spooky Halloween party for little ones.

Pastel balloons came to life by adding happy jack o' lantern faces cut out of  black vinyl using my Cricut Maker. Aren't they just the cutest?

Kids and slime go hand in hand. Who doesn't love to squish that ooey gooey sludge between their fingers? I think it's the perfect Halloween favor and the kids certainly agree!  I made some pastel slime and put them inside clear round favor containers. Making the cute jack o' lantern faces out of vinyl was so easy using my Cricut Maker.

DIY Decorative Ceramic Pumpkins were painted in pastel blues and pinks and topped with a sprinkle of confetti. Did I mention I made the confetti using my Cricut Maker? It was so quick and easy to cut out hundreds of tiny tissue circles in the color palette of the party.

Leigh from Baby Gabey Cookies made the sweetest pastel candy corn cookies that delighted the little guests. And if you're ever wondering if they taste as good as they look...yes, yes they do!

Pastel favor pails were filled to the brim with candy corn and mini pink lollipops. I found a cute ghost image in Cricut Design Space and cut them out using silver glitter vinyl.

These holographic pumpkin canvases took minutes to put together and I love how they turned out! I used DIY canvases and cut out jack o' lanterns using Cricut Design Space. The holographic vinyl adhered easily to the canvas and it removes easily in case you'd like to reuse the canvases for a future project.

Put on your dancin' shoes! How fun is this shirt?
Make easy and inexpensive t-shirt favors for the kids that will get everyone in the party mood!
I found plain white t-shirts at Michaels for a few dollars and used my Cricut Maker and Design Space to cut out the foil iron-on images. The images transferred flawlessly using my Cricut Easy Press and took seconds to make.  Don't forget to make one for yourself!
