Party Like A Narwhal

This post contains affiliate links.

narwhal is an elusive creature but I'm pretty sure it knows how to party. After all, it's the unicorn of the sea and we all know unicorns know a good party when they see one!

I've always wanted to throw a narwhal party and was so excited when I finally had the chance to have one. I wanted to keep the party sweet and simple but I also wanted it to have a big impact with the little guests. I think it did just that!

The adorable party narwhal cake topper was the inspiration for the party. The light blue and pink polka dots became the color palette  so it was easy to find decor to match.

Cake is a must for any party and I made a boxed cake using two round pans. I then rolled out marshmallow fondant to cover it. By mixing one piece of white fondant with a piece of pink fondant together, it came out as a beautiful swirled watercolor look that I loved. Of course the narwhal had to top the cake along with candies and "Party Like a Narwhal" cake topper.

I kept the snacks simple and served narwhal nibbles (popcorn) and ocean water ( plain old water...but the kids thought it was hilarious they were drinking water from the ocean!) The guests loved coloring pictures of their own little narwhal and loved adding stickers and sparkles to their pages.

Each little guests received a narwhal headband, goodie bag filled with sweets and a mini narwhal plushie.

We all had a blast and partied hard, just like a narwhal

Mr. Rogers Inspired Birthday Party

This post contains affiliate links.

"It's our insides that make us who we are, that allow us to dream and wonder and feel for others. That's what's essential. That's what will always make the biggest difference in our world."- Fred Rogers

One of my favorite shows as a kid was Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood.  He evokes such sweet and happy memories of  my childhood and will forever be an icon for kindness. I love that he inspired generations of children with a lifetime of learning.

Remember when Trolley would go from the "real world" into the Land of Make Believe? That was my favorite part of the show and part of the inspiration of this magical soiree.  So zip up that colorful cardigan and change into your sneakers because I've got a fun Mr. Rogers party just for you!

Let's make the most of this beautiful day...

Using my CRICUT MACHINE, I made this LET'S MAKE THE MOST OF THIS BEAUTIFUL DAY  banner and hung it over the dessert table. The paper is from the Simple Stories- I Am collection and I knew the soft pastels and florals would be perfect for the sweet banner.

Mr. Rogers Party

These Land of Make Believe cupcake toppers can be found HERE. Print them out using the wallet size feature on your printer and they'll be the perfect size for cupcake toppers. I attached the toppers to paper straws and placed them through the cupcakes.

The cupcake wraps were made using my CRICUT MACHINE  and were so easy to create. I love when I can whip a party out in under an hour using my Cricut!

May the Fourth Be With You

May the Fourth Be With You!

Cricut has just launched their first series of Star Wars Images in Cricut Design Space and we are in LOVE! My rebel princess and her buddy were thrilled with their new Star Wars shirts and couldn't wait for May the 4th to wear them to school.

Want to make some of these cute shirts yourself? They're quick and easy and you'll have a blast with the new Star Wars collection!

What you'll need to make the shirts:

Cricut Explore Air 2 (or your favorite Cricut machine)
T-shirts in your favorite colors
Darth Likes To Party and Rebel Princess images in Cricut Design Space

For all you rebel princesses out there, this shirt is for YOU! The Rebel Princess image is ready to go in Design Space so just edit the image to the size you'll need and cut using your favorite Cricut machine. Be sure to select "mirror image" as you cut out your text. I used Foil Iron On in violet and my trusty EasyPress to iron on the image to the shirt.

Select the Darth Likes To Party image in Design Space and cut out using black iron on using your Cricut machine. Darth Vader needed a little sparkle so I added a glittery party hat using Glitter Iron On in aqua. (I think it suits him well, don't you?)

So come on over to the Dark Side, we have cupcakes....and they're delicious! ;-)

Be sure to check out the entire collection of Star Wars images in Cricut Design Space, you'll love creating awesome Star Wars shirts for the whole family.

Have a happy Star Wars Day and May the Fouth be with you!

Minnie Mouse Party with TownleyGirl

This review is based on my opinion. I was provided the sample free of charge by
TownleyGirl.  All ideas and opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links.

We're off to Disneyland!

And with the help of TownleyGirl, we were able to surprise our daughter in a fun and festive way!
Our girl LOVES Disneyland so to celebrate our upcoming vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth, we invited a few of her buddies over to party hard with Minnie Mouse!

Check out the rest of the party below!

Dress up a white cake by attaching Minnie Mouse ears to the top. I used my CRICUT MACHINE to cut out the ears and then I glued toothpicks to the ears and placed it on top of the cake. Make it even easier on yourself and use a store bought cake! I loved how adorable it turned out and the girls thought it was the cutest thing ever.

It's the tiny details I love the most in a party and these darling Minnie Mouse straws were no exception. I cut out tiny Minnie Mouse silhouettes and adhered them to pink paper straws. I also cut out Cinderella's castle using vinyl and attached the image to the front of the glass milk bottles.

A Minnie Mouse banner strung across the party table was a quick and simple project to make. I cut out Minnie Mouse silhouettes, punch holes through the ears and strung them up with pink bakers twine.
Love those quick and easy projects!

The girls were thrilled with all the adorable Minnie Mouse lip balm and fingernail polish sets we gave out at the party! They immediately began painting their nails in teal and sky blue. What I love about the Minnie Mouse Kiss it Paint it Set is the nail polish is water-based, peelable and and non-toxic. The girls had a blast painting their fingernails, peeling the paint off and then painting them over again. Plus the nail polish has a sweet berry scent!

The little party guests loved all the fun Minnie Mouse purses and loved filling them up with the sparkly lip glosses and balms.

How adorable are these Minnie Mouse Patch-it-Perfect Lip Balm Sets ? Those tiny ears just kill me!

The guests were treated to goodie bags filled with Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck nail polish and scented lip balms.

This Disney Bound tote was easy to create using my Cricut machine and of course I had to fill it with all the Disney essentials! The Minnie Mouse Glam Her Hair 7 Piece Set  is every Minnie Mouse lover's dream!  From glittery bows to a light up mirror, this hair set has it all!

The girls loved the Daisy Duck and Minnie Mouse hair brush and adorable bows. They took turns fixing each others hair using all the fun accessories.

We're counting down the days until we're in Disneyland and this sweet little Minnie Mouse party just got us even more excited!
HUGE thanks to TownleyGirl for supplying all the wonderful favors! The girls were in Disney heaven!

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to check out TownleyGirl for the entire Minnie Mouse Collection!
