More Peeks of C'est la Vie

New banner cardstock stickers to coordinate with the C'est la Vie collection.
These stickers add a lovely touch to any layout or card.
I used the 'I  Love You'  banner sticker from the C'est la Vie collection for this sweet little box.

I'm so excited about these cardstock stickers! Here they are in two different themes: Victorian and Diva. How cute are they?!

Here is a door hanger that was created using  new Aqua Doily paper from the C'est la Vie Collection and stickers from the Diva theme.

Be sure to check out the Melissa Frances Blog where you can win some of the new C'est la Vie collection!

New C'est la Vie Collection

This beautifully soft,  romantic collection is the newest line from Melissa Frances debuting at CHA.
C’est la Vie - Life doesn’t always go the way we want it to. We all face struggles and obstacles. It is how we handle them that defines us.
This collection celebrates life in its imperfect, inherent messiness. Like the 'Thankful' collection, these papers will have part of the proceeds donated to www.breastcancer.org Melissa's charity of choice.

Head over to the Melissa Frances Blog to find out how you can win the C'est la Vie collection!

Brooch and Crepe Paper Bouquet

I used this great tutorial from Folding Trees on how to make crepe paper flowers.   In the tutorial, the flowers are made with tissue paper.  I thought I'd try my hand at using some of the beautiful crepe paper from Melissa Frances.
I made about six paper flowers and twisted all the stems together. Ribbon was then wrapped around the stems and a lovely brooch was pinned on the ribbon stem. I used feather plumes and satin flowers to fill in gaps in the bouquet. The last step was to pin the brooches inside each flower.

Fun, easy and lovely.

Averi Turns 1!

Our little Averi, turning1 and already packed and ready to see the world.  She brings us constant joy by showing us all the corners of her little world in a different way, every day.  She brings us to distant worlds through her toys and books.  She takes us back in time by helping us remember our own childhoods.  She keeps us in the moment by melting the outside world away with a smile or a giggle.  And she brings us into the future when we get a flash of how she will look or act when she is older.  She is our tiny little guide through life  and we are happy to be along for the ride.

Happy Birthday to you, our little love!

As if turning 1 year old wasn't exciting enough, Miss Averi is now a published artist! The winter 2012 issue of Create With Me  features a 1st Birthday party hat Averi and I created together. We're so excited about our article and project, we just had to share!

Averi  is focused and working hard on her party hat. She takes finger painting quite seriously, as you can see.

Here's her 1st Birthday party hat! Now, if only she'd keep it on her cute little head.

Happy Birthday, sweet baby girl!
We love you!
