Sweet Life Projects

Hello!
Today I have a couple projects featuring The Sweet Life Collection from Melissa Frances
The first is a quick and easy goodie bag using a polka dot craft bag from Whisker Graphics and darling embellishments from Melissa Frances. Here is a quick tutorial on how to put it together.

Cut out The Sweet Life journal cards and using a rounded edge punch, punch all corners of the journal cards. Layer the journal cards on top of the goodie bag and adhere using Zip Dry. Adhere a pearl on top of a kraft heart sticker and attach to the goodie bag. Adhere two rows of satin pink ribbon towards the bottom of the bad using glue and let dry. Fill the bag with goodies and top off with gift wrapping shred.

The second project is a mini sweet shop atop a candlestick using the Sweet Life papers and cut outs.  Below is a quick tutorial on how to make your own little candy shop!

Assemble house kit according to directions on the package using pattern paper from The Sweet Life collection. Once house is assembled, trace a line of glue around each window and sprinkle glitter on top. Shake off excess glitter.
Cut out banner from Sweet Life journal card and attach across the top of the house. Using a mini straw, attach a pennant flag to it, tie a piece of baker's twine around the straw and attach to the back of the house. Adhere the paper mache box to top of candle stick using glue and let dry. Then adhere house on top of the box/candle stick combo and let dry. Trace a line of glue around the box and attach a small strand of pink tissue garland. Add a pink bottle brush tree to the top of the box. Tie ribbon around the candlestick.

Summer Party Ensemble

Hi there!
Summer doesn't officially begin for a couple weeks, but it's pretty much in full swing at our place. Picnics, hiking, biking, sprinklers, popsicles, sailing and swimming. We love it all!
What better way to usher in the sunny weather than a festive summer party.  For this project I used  Whisker Graphics glassine bags and filled them with brightly colored gumballs. Glassine bags are so fun because since they're see-through, you can really get creative with what you put inside. The more colorful, the better!
I thought these summertime cut outs from Crate Paper were absolutely darling and I just love the vintage  feel to them. I attached a few enamel dots to the cut outs and used a clothespin to secure the bag.

For the pom pom garland, I used the always fabulous Divine Twine in cherry, lemon, green apple, aqua and purple plum. I then attached Petite Stickys in between each pom and voila, you have a super cute garland.
