Making Magic Wee Witches Party

This review is based strictly on my opinion. I was provided the sample free of charge by Oriental Trading Company to provide my honest review. No other type of compensation was received. All ideas and opinions are my own.

Conjure up a spellbinding Wee Witch's soiree this Halloween with Oriental Trading's Halloween Headquarters

Here's what you'll need:

Join us for a spell!
The incredibly talented Jen T By Design worked her magic and created the adorable Making Magic invitations for the party. We couldn't wait for all the little witches to arrive to conjure up spells and nibble on pretty pumpkin cookies!

The little guests were given wee witch starter kits filled with all those witchy essentials like; eye of newt, black cats, witch potion, brooms and spider rings. Find out how to put these fun favors together HERE.

The bewitching Jen T By Design created these adorable tags for the wee witch starter kits and I love how they beautifully coordinated with the adorable invites. So cute!

No party is complete without adorable cookies from Baby Gabey Cookies! These darling ghost and pumpkin cookies were a huge hit at the party and we just loved those adorable little faces peeking over the pumpkins! So sad they all had to lose their heads... ;-)

Every wee witch needs a cat to hop onto the back of the broom as they fly through the night sky. These little kitties were all looking for a home and luckily they were quickly adopted by loving little witches.

Don't forget to give those witchy kittens names! Print out name collars for your kitty side kicks HERE and HERE. I printed them out using the "wallet" setting on my printer and the size for the name tags were perfect.

The witchy kitties needed a carrier in case they got tired from riding on the broom so I made them each a pet carrier. Find out how easy they are to put together HERE. The little witchy guests were thrilled with their new furry friends and very own carriers!

Using my Cricut machine, I whipped these witchy silhouettes up quickly and easily! Add a few black and white swirled lollipops and you've got some bewitching and edible party decor.

A wee witch cast a spell on these ordinary pumpkins and magically turned them into singing jack o' lanterns! Click HERE to see these enchanting pumpkins come to life!  Your Halloween parties will never be the same after you see these cute lil pumpkins sing!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope your Halloween is pure magic!

Wee Witch Starter Kit

This review is based strictly on my opinion. I was provided the sample free of charge by Oriental Trading Company to provide my honest review. No other type of compensation was received. All ideas and opinions are my own.

A little witch has to start somewhere, right?! These wee witch starter kits are the perfect favors for your witchy soiree.

Here's what you'll need:

What exactly goes into a wee witch starter kit you say? Let's take a look...we have the eyes of a newt, witch potion, a black cat, a witch broom and a spider ring. All are essential for any budding witch.

Place basket shred into the bottom of the container and begin filling it up with all those witch goodies!

Add a few sparkly star stickers to the top of the container.

Tie on the wee witch starter kit tag from the fabulous  Jen T By Design using different colors and patterns of ribbon and you're all set!

Your little guests are well on their way to conjuring up a few magical spells!

Magical Witch Cat Totes

This review is based strictly on my opinion. I was provided the sample free of charge by Oriental Trading Company to provide my honest review. No other type of compensation was received. All ideas and opinions are my own.

While a witch's cat loves to ride alongside her witchy companion on the broom, sometimes you  need a little carrier just in case your broom isn't working and is in the shop. See how quick and easy these magical carriers are to create!

Here's what you'll need:

Using a Cricut machine, cut out the words " Making Magic" using black iron- on vinyl. I used the Chloe font in Cricut Design Space. Cut out glittery stars as well and set them aside.

Center the text on the bag and place a cloth over the iron-on vinyl text.

Using an iron,  press down until the iron on text sticks to the fabric of the bag.

Add a few glittery stars all around the tote.

Tie a few strands of ribbon in bright Halloween colors to one of the handles of the bag and you're all set!

These little guys look so happy in their magical carriers, don't you think?!

Thank you for stopping by and have a magical day!

New Neighbor BOO Kit

Hover over this image to shop for the MARS® Bat Bag to add to your BOO kit! It's THAT easy!

Moving can be scary.
The packing, the moving of the heavy stuff, the updating of the address, changing utilities, unpacking...the list goes on and on and it can be downright frightening!

So when I heard several new families were moving into the neighborhood, I wanted to make their move a little less nerve-wracking and treat them to a New Neighbor BOO Kit!

In keeping with the "moving is scary" theme, I decided to put together these fun BOO kits to bring over to the new neighbors. I filled the kits with delicious treats from the MARS® Bat Bag and other Halloween goodies.

I headed to Sam's Club since it is my go-to spot for buying anything in bulk. As soon as I spotted the MARS® Bat Bag, I knew it would be perfect for the BOO kits. I needed a large amount of candy  at an affordable price and this bag was exactly what I was looking for.

Want to put together your own New Neighbor BOO kit? It's quick and easy so let's get started!

What you'll need:

  • Small wood crates
  • Acrylic paints in colors of your choosing ( I used ivory, orange and black)
  • Foam brushes
  • List of helpful phone numbers
  • Ribbon
  • Halloween images on vinyl
  • MARS® Bat Bag or MARS® Mad Scientist

I found these adorable mini crates at my local craft store and knew they'd be perfect for the BOO kits.

Using a foam brush, paint the entire crate using the acrylic paint color of your choice. Be sure to let it dry completely before moving on to the next step.

When the paint has dried, apply the Halloween vinyl image to the crate. You can either use your electronic cutting machine to cut out the shapes or purchase them inexpensively off Etsy.

Type and print out numbers you think would be helpful to the new neighbors and cut them out. I added magnets to the back of my list so they could conveniently place them on their fridge.
Punch a small hole in the upper corner of the list.

Fill the kits with a bit of basket shred. This will cushion all those yummy treats and goodies you'll be placing inside, plus it just gives it more of a finished look.

Thread ribbon through the phone numbers list and tie to the crate.

Add a few more strands of ribbon in fun Halloween colors and patterns to give a little pop of color to the BOO kits.

Now comes the REALLY fun part! Fill the crate with  MARS® Bat Bag goodies and other fun things you think your neighbors might enjoy. I added some Halloween playing cards, a few pens, stickers and some fun Halloween tissue packs. I also tucked in a card welcoming them to the neighborhood and letting them know how happy we are to have them here!

Here's a look at a couple other ways to design your BOO kit. I love the ghost and the BOO script and thought they looked adorable on the crates.

And there you have it! A spooktastic way to welcome new friends into the neighborhood.

So get creative and have fun with your BOO kits! Your neighbors will appreciate it and the kits are so cute, you just might want to make one for yourself!
