Hello!
Christmas is right around the corner and if you're looking for some last minute card and decor ideas, I've got a couple for you.

I made a card using paper, die cuts and a mini polka dot envelope from Melissa Frances. The bottle brush are stacked on top of vintage spools with bakers twine wrapped around them. I finished them off by adhering Christmas die cuts to the front.

Today I'd love to show you some simple ways to wrap handmade soaps for gift giving this holiday season.

Instructions for soap packaging:
Wrap cream crochet lace around each bar of soap. Tie mini embellishments such as resin frames, bottle brush trees and ornaments to the soap using bakers twine. Tuck holiday mini flash cards into the lace. Sprinkle with a bit of mica.

Three Tiered Holiday Dessert Tray with The Wood Connection

Happy Holidays!
Today I'd love to show you a fun project that is sure to get you in the Christmas spirit.
 Let's get started!

Supplies used:
mini wood finial
wood glue
ivory paint
patterned paper- Authentique; Cozy
All products available at The Wood Connection

Paint all the unfinished candlesticks and frames with ivory paint and let dry. I didn't worry too much about making sure the paint was perfect, I like a little of that shabby/worn look.

Trace the frames around the pattern paper and cut out. Attach paper to frames using mod podge and allow to dry.
Open up the back of the frames and sprinkle a bit of mica onto the glass. Cut out a piece of paper to cover the back and place it on top of the mica. Place back of frame back together.

Here's a close up of what the mica will look like through the frame. Don't you just love that little bit of sparkle?!

Attach mini wood finial to the mini candlestick using wood glue and allow to dry.

Attach four candle cups to the bottom of the largest frame using wood glue and let dry.
Using wood glue, layer the frames and candle sticks; large frame/large candlestick, medium frame/medium candlestick. Then place the next medium frame on top of the last candlestick and attach mini finial to the top of the frame. Allow to dry.

Next add festive photos, mini gift bags, desserts, tea cups and anything else you can think of to adorn your dessert tray.

Thanks so much to the The Wood Connection for having me. I am always so thrilled when the ask me to guest post. As a little Merry Christmas to you, The Wood Connection has been generous enough to give me a $25 gift certificate to give to you!
Simply leave a comment about what you love most about the holiday season and I'll pick a winner on Friday, December 19th.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

30 Days of Holidays with Xyron Advent Calendar

30 Days of Xyron Continues!
Be sure to stop by Xyron's Facebook page for daily holiday inspiration from the Xyron Design Team. You won't want to miss out on the gorgeous projects the team has created!
My project today is a Christmas advent calendar using Xyron adhesives. I thought it would be fun to have mini goodie bags filled treats and Christmas poems to count down the days in anticipation of Christmas. On the 25th, a tussie mussie will be the grand finale filled with little gifts for the recipient.

Instructions:
Using a cone template, trace the template around your patterned paper and cut out. Run your  Xyron Mega Runner down the edge of the paper, roll into a cone and secure. Punch holes on each side of the cone, thread ribbon through and tie at the top. Add Xyron High Tack Adhesive Dots around the top of the cone and wrap white silk ribbon completely around. Run the Christmas die cut through Xyron Create A Sticker Max and adhere towards top of cone. Embellish with mini clothespin and fill with shredded basket filler, treats and gifts.

Run each die cut through the Xyron Create A Sticker Max and attach to the front of the goodie bag. Embellish with mini clothespins and bakers twine. Spray a bit of spray adhesive on the bags and sprinkle with white mica. Fill with treats and Christmas poems or memories.
