Vintage Inspired Wall Hang

Hello there!
I created this wall hang for a friend that is expecting a baby soon and since the nursery is shabby chic, this little project is going to fit right in. Thank heavens I can always count on Melissa Frances for an endless supply of vintage inspiration.

For the wall hang, I used a vintage monthly report card and cut out a darling image of a little girl from the Adopted Ancestors pattern paper. Next I added flowers and seam binding around the resin frame and attached the frame on top of the card. A couple rows of satin ribbon line the bottom of the card and that's it!

The star of the show is this shabby chic flower double clip that attaches to the card. How adorable is this?!

Nature Inspired Gift Wrap

We have some great friends getting married soon and they'll be having a rustic, earthy and natural wedding. I wanted to keep in theme with their celebration by presenting their gifts in gift wrap inspired by nature.

These Shield Kraft Middy Bags  from Whisker Graphics create the perfect blank canvas for personalizing. I printed Bride and Groom on the bags then flicked a bit of cream paint all over the bags using a toothbrush.

I then cut out feathers from pattern paper and used Silver Metallic Divine Twine to tie them  all together.  I added a little evergreen sprig held by a clothespin and the gift wrap was finished.

Supplies used:
cream paint
pattern paper
evergreen sprigs
