Peter Rabbit Inspired Bunny Gardens

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Cost Plus World Market. All opinions are my own.

Have you seen the darling new Peter Rabbit Decor at Cost Plus World Market? To say it's beyond adorable is an understatement! Hop (sorry, I had to!) into stores to check out all the Peter Rabbit cuteness. From Peter Rabbit Party Supplies to Peter Rabbit Books, you're bound to find something you'll love!

Be sure to check out the end of the post to find out how you can win a trip for 2 to London, England to tour the beautiful English Gardens and a $1000 Cost Plus World Market Gift Card!

Peter Rabbit has always been one of my favorite stories growing up and now our little girl loves to read all about that mischievous little rabbit, too. We love the charming and beautiful artwork of Beatrix Potter and the whimsical tales of Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail.

With spring right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to make a bunny garden starring none other than Peter Rabbit himself! I found everything I needed at Cost Plus World Market and these tiny gardens are quick and easy to put together.

I made 3 different bunny gardens to create a lovely and charming Easter table centerpiece. So make 1 or all 3 since they're so adorable and can be made in no time!

 Let's get started!

Fill a blush dinner plate with multi-colored river rocks.

Add faux succulents and bits of moss to the plate as well.

Add the rabbit figurine, a bit more moss and a few speckled quail eggs.

Place a glass cloche on top of the plate embellish with a small bouquet of  lovely flowers.

For the next garden, I have two different ways to display the finished project.

Start by filling the glass vase with beach sand.

Scatter a few river rocks on top of the sand.

Place this little guy inside the vase.

Surround the Peter Rabbit figurine with moss and speckled quail eggs.

Place a pastel egg wreath over the vase and you're all set!

Another way to display this little cutie is to place the vase on top of a jade cake pedestal and add flowers to embellish it. Either way is a lovely idea to display this sweet bunny garden.

For the last bunny garden, it's pretty much the same as the last garden but instead of using a cake pedestal, I'm using a beautiful jade plate to place the vase on.

Fill the vase with sand, rocks, moss and speckled quail eggs and place the rabbit figurine inside the vase.

Place vase on top of the jade glass plate and embellish with a few more speckled quail eggs around the plate.

And that's it!

You now have adorable Peter Rabbit inspired bunny gardens for your Easter table.

I love shopping at my local store in Cottonwood Heights for adorable Easter decor, unique gifts and fabulous food from around the world.

How to Catch a Leprechaun

Every St. Patrick's Day we build a leprechaun trap to catch that little green rascal and every year he gets away!

 Not this year.

This is the year our daughter swears she WILL catch a leprechaun!

I wanted to help her out with some detective work so I put together this "Catch a Leprechaun Kit" filled with all the essentials one would need to catch that shamrock-lovin' bandit. With the help of Oriental Trading, you can build an adorable kit your kids will have a blast with!

What you'll need:

To catch that wee little fellow, you'll need a handy kit to keep everything in one place. This DIY lunchbox was the perfect size to hold all the leprechaun catching necessities. Click HERE to download the shamrock printable. Adhere the shamrock to the front of the lunchbox and you're all set to start filling up your kit!

I filled a cellophane bag with chocolate gold coins and plush rainbows and tied it all together with green baker's twine.  Print and cut out the leprechaun bait tag HERE and tie it to the bag.

A little rainbow glitter notebook is the perfect way to record insights, thoughts, ideas, questions, and observations about those little green guys.

The lucky leprechaun binoculars craft kit is a fun activity for the kids to put together. Once it's ready to go, the little detectives will be on their way to spotting those tiny creatures!

While the St. Patrick's Day sleuths will be following clues to catch a leprechaun, they'll be needing a place to put the evidence. From gold dust to green glitter, there's bound to be evidence that needs to be labeled and placed somewhere for safe keeping. These shamrock-shaped favor containers are a perfect fit to collect all the proof that leprechauns are real!

Woohoo! It looks like that leprechaun bait worked and all our hard work paid off! We followed tiny green footprints and found our adorable little leprechaun at the end of the rainbow!

Kids will have a blast this St. Patrick's Day with their leprechaun catching kits and who knows, you just might catch a wee little lad yourself!

St. Patrick's Day Treat Box

I love celebrating St. Patrick's Day with kids. From building a leprechaun trap to having an entire breakfast colored green. It's so fun to see the excitement and wonder in their eyes as they wake up the morning of St. Patrick's Day to see if they caught a leprechaun while they chow down on green pancakes and sip green milk.

Even if we don't catch a leprechaun, those little gnomes always leave a good luck gift for the kids.
They're quick and easy to put together, so let's get started!

Supplies used:
Chocolate Gold Coins
Skittles
Bakers Twine

Fill a small tube with Skittles or any kind of rainbow candies. Tie several strands of bakers twine  around the goodie basket handle and favor tube.

Download the rainbow printable HERE and attach it to the front of the box.

Fill to the brim with chocolate golden coins, Rolos or any other gold candies you can think of.

And there you have it! Quick and simple leprechaun goodie bags for the kids. Won't they love waking up to a pot of gold? I know I would!

Thanks so much for stopping by and may the luck o' the Irish be with you!

Check out these fun party ideas!
