Black Cat Halloween Project

Hi there!
With only a few short days until All Hallow's Eve, I thought I'd share a quick Halloween project with you.

Supplies used-
Black Cat Sticker- Melissa Frances
candlestick- Dollar Tree
fabric scraps

I started by spray painting the candlestick white and letting it dry. I then glued the base of the dome on top of the candlestick and adhered the tree and cat sticker on top and replaced the dome.
Using glue, trace around the base of the dome and attach the tissue garland. Tie a scrap of fabric around the base of the candlestick and tie a bit of bakers twine on top of it.  Finish off by gluing a bit of tissue garland on top of the dome and tying bakers twine around it.

Have a Happy Halloween!

Now and Then Project Plus a Giveaway!

I am in LOOOOOOVE with Teresa Collins' new Now and Then Collection. IN LOVE, I tell ya!  The mix and match of   bright colors and bold patterns are to die for! I decided to make a fun little hot air balloon decoration for my toddler's room as her favorite thing in the WORLD right now are hot air balloons...I think they're pretty cute too.

Start out by painting  the wooden base, dowel and balloon from The Wood Connection and let dry.  Trace different colors and patterns of paper ( I used Damask, Floral and Newsprint) around the balloon. Cut out the papers in strips of three and glue them on the balloon. Attach the "Happy" banner to the front of the balloon and tie little bows on either side of the banner.

I embellished the base using chipboard elements, decorative brads and buttons. This was so much fun to make and perfect for a child's room!

And now on to the giveaway!  Teresa has generously donated a 6x6 Designer Pad to one lucky winner. Simply comment on this post and you'll be entered to win! Contest will be open until Sunday night and I'll pick a winner bright and early Monday morning. Good luck!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Witches Soiree

I created this  Halloween wall hang using the house backdrop from Melissa Frances. By inking and distressing the line from the Attic Treasures collection, they can easily double as vintage inspired Halloween papers. Don't those witches look like they're having a lovely Hallow's Eve tea?

Supplies used-
Wreaths of Glory pattern paper
Bottle Brush Trees  (I spray painted the large one silver)
all from Melissa Frances

Bewitching...

Happy October 1st!
Today I'd like to share with you a witch's hat and a  fun moon card using the Vintage Finds collection.
I love how the Vintage Finds line can also double for your Halloween projects.
I found the paper mache witch hat at Michaels and covered it using papers from the Vintage Finds collection. I then embellished the hat with sanded "31" chipboard and elements from the accessories sheet. I accordion folded a strip of paper and lined the brim of the hat with it. To finish it off, I added some glitter leaves, a feather plume and a medallion.

The "Bewitching" moon card was quick and simple! Just cut out some pattern paper  into a moon shape (I used my cricut).  Print out the word "Bewitching" ( I used the font 'Porcelain') cut out and ink the edges and adhere to the top of  a strip of  a glitter border. Embellish the card with ribbon, tinsel and chipboard elements.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Supplies:
tinsel
