Fall is definitely in the air up here in Park City. The trees in the mountains are starting to turn into vibrant oranges, reds and yellows. Autumn is by far my favorite season and it just so happens, my favorite season contains my favorite holiday.
Halloween!
Yes, I know it's still the middle of September and I TRIED to hold off posting anything Halloween related until October...but I have failed miserably. So, here ya go!
~Halloween Hangers~
A bit of elegance and a little bit of spookiness all wrapped up on a little wooden hanger. I bought a couple wooden hangers at Michael's for a dollar and thought I could turn them into fun Halloween decorations.
The witches are from Lisa's Altered Art (also only a dollar!) and the pattern paper is from Melissa Frances. Unfortunately, this line is discontinued except for the black polka dot paper that I used in the banners. The resin frames and glass glitter are also from Melissa Frances.
Trace the hangers onto pattern paper, cut out and glue paper to hanger. Ink around edges of hanger to give that antique look. Brush a little black paint on the resin frames and let dry. Trace around frames and cut out a piece of paper to fit inside the frame. Cut out the lovely witches and place them on the piece of paper that's inside the frame.
Print out Halloween sentiments and cut out banner style. Line the edges of the banner with glue ( I used Zip Dry, that stuff is awesome) and sprinkle glass glitter over the glue. Cut out triangles in different patterns of paper and form a banner. Glue both banners across hanger.
Hope you enjoyed this early Halloween project!
What a darling idea!
